The People Vendor Manager is responsible for managing, and optimizing relationships with Chesamel’s vendors and service providers that supply consultancy services to Chesamel clients. This role is crucial in ensuring that the organization has access to quality talent and they manage effectively to ensure operational excellence and impact for Chesamel’s clients that align with our strategic goals while managing costs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Selection and Management:
  • Work with the talent team and Client services team to Identify and evaluate potential vendors to deliver on client projects.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure service delivery meets organizational standards.
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Develop performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate vendor performance.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of vendor services, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Address any performance issues promptly to maintain service quality.
  • Budget Management:
  • Collaborate with finance to develop budgets related to vendor services.
  • Monitor spending and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements related to vendor services.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with HR, operations, Client services and business unit leaders to understand staffing needs and service requirements.
  • Communicate vendor capabilities and offerings to internal stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Market Research and Strategy:
  • Stay informed about market trends and emerging vendors in the HR space.
  • Analyze vendor offerings and industry benchmarks to recommend improvements or changes to current vendor strategies.
  • Develop strategic plans for vendor engagement that align with the organization’s vision and objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure all vendor contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to vendor partnerships and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to vendor contracts, performance evaluations, and communications.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in people/supplier Management) is a plus.
