We’re seeking an accomplished Brand Planner & Strategist with 10 years of experience gained in well known/respected advertising agencies. You thrive at the crossroads of human psychology, data, insights, technology, and storytelling. You understand how to look at things differently, the power and importance of data-driven insights, and can demonstrate how you have helped bring surprise and delight to customer experiences. You are intellectually curious, highly analytical, a creative thinker, ready to do your own research, and have a passion for great ideas that change perception and behaviour.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute brand strategies and campaigns for our clients’ portfolio of products in EMEA with up to 30% support for JAPAC (requiring flexibility around earlier starts).
- Be familiar with, and a champion of, Challenger Brand thinking / execution
- Own brief development and consult on brief refinement from across the region
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, media, and brand management, to ensure alignment and successful campaign execution
- Develop and present compelling brand narratives, new strategies, and positioning statements to senior management
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats
- Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of brand strategies and campaigns
- In partnership with Brand Managers, make data-driven recommendations for optimization
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in brand planning and strategy
Required qualifications:
- Excellent stakeholder and client management skills: with a comfort at operating as an embedded consultant delivering directly on client projects as part of an integrated marketing service
- Senior agency experience is essential, ideally within the technology industry.
- Strong background (10 years plus) in traditional agency planning and strategy development.
- Experience in a tech start-up or tech company is highly desirable.
