We are looking for a Senior Experiences and Events Manager to work as part of an embedded team with our client, providing campaign and event management services within the UK & Ireland.

The Team

Chesamel embeds teams of consultants to work directly with our clients in delivering an exceptional integrated marketing service. We are looking for a Senior Experiences and Events Manager to embed with our client, who helps millions of organisations empower their employees, serve their customers, and build what’s next for their business, all with technology built in the cloud. Their products are engineered for security, reliability and scalability, running the full stack from infrastructure to applications to devices and hardware. You will be embedded in a team dedicated to helping businesses ranging from enterprises to startups, educational institutions and government agencies to see the benefits of our technology come to life.

As the Strategic Experiences and Events Manager, UKI you will oversee the client-owned and industry events (from bespoke CxO to physical event moments to industry trade shows) and help their customers and prospects experience all that they have to offer as their strategic partner for digital transformation.

You will be central to delivering the UK&I Tier 1 event strategy and will lead event operations for several high visibility and high investment programmes that will target CxOs, ITDMs and Developers from across the region. You will have a strong understanding of how great event experiences impact brand perception, competitive positioning and demand generation. As a recognised outstanding project leader, you will guide cross-functional groups under a unified plan, ensuring outstanding impact and return for our client in UK & Ireland.

Role responsibilities

  • Working with the UKI Field Marketing Team, be integral in delivering the annual Tier 1 event strategy, working in close partnership with our client’s EMEA Experiences and Events teams, UKI leadership team, and regional field marketing teams.
  • Own planning, execution and business outcomes for Tier 1 client-owned and industry / third party trade shows across EMEA (including workback plans, resourcing, audience definition, audience acquisition plans, comms plans, creative, budget management and end to end delegate experience)
  • Land and Adapt – leverage event playbooks already created at global levels and supplement these with new experiences and initiatives you suggest based on UKI needs/opportunity and engagement best practice
  • Own and Invent – drive end to end from strategy to execution for locally owned UKI Tier 1 event moments
  • Manage relationships with vendors and agencies who deliver key marketing operational components
  • Develop a comprehensive report post-event to communicate performance, ROI and learnings
  • Harness and champion a ‘Center of Excellence’ for our client’s locally-executed physical and hybrid events

Person Specifications

You must meet these minimum qualifications to apply for this job

  • Enterprise event management experience, preferably in a field role: 14 years +
  • Proven Executive liaison and able to gain trust and support from senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing marketing and events production agencies
  • Independent self-starter who can prioritise and drive deliverables and execution
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience, including managing multiple internal stakeholders, external creative agencies, events vendors, budgets and multi-region projects
  • Excellent collaboration skills, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders across diverse teams
  • Distinctive problem-solving, strategic and analytical capabilities with a track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing objectives and metrics
  • Creative thinker

Preferred qualifications

Having as many of these specific qualifications is a plus, but transferable skills/experiences may be equally valuable

  • Innovative and fresh thinking for event experiences for our client to standout in a competitive Cloud based market
  • Solid knowledge of Cloud or the IT enterprise software market
  • Track record of delivering in a matrixed organisation
  • Experience using Google Workspace (e.g. Gmail, Google Docs)

Other: You will be required to attend the office twice a week, and attend in-person events.
