Responsibilities

You will collaborate with business units, product and technology teams, carriers & logistics providers in the EU to drive growth whilst maintaining and growing trust on the site. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in business analysis, functional design and customer experience discussions, competitive analysis, market segmentation, working with partners, and more in order to initially roll out an exciting new export solution for sellers across the EU and then scale and develop it.

Given the relatively early stage of the development of this team this role will play a significant part in informing and impacting the strategy for Export in Europe.

  • Develop the plan to implement and scale a new export solution for sellers, starting with Germany, then other EU countries
  • Initiate and assess market research to support the go to market process for new market opportunities.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure goals and activities are coordinated in order to implement this service smoothly in all markets
  • Ensure that all activities required to launch successfully in each market are carried out effectively across a range of teams both within the company and with external partners
  • Manager external partner performance and track associated results.
  • Identify future opportunities to drive exports adoption, and improve customer experience

Requirements

  • Ecommerce experience or supply chain logistics looking to grow skills in both aspects
  • Experience within Shipping / Distribution, potentially from an ecommerce, retail or 3rd Party Distribution company would be beneficial
  • Experience with exports / cross border trade operations
  • Management consulting experience within a Strategy Consultancy or international consulting firm would be advantageous
  • Experience in business development, product management, operational or related roles, preferably in online products/services
  • Previously managed or worked closely with product/marketing/business managers
  • Successful track record of effectively defining, launching, and managing day to day ecommerce operations 
  • Outstanding communication and time-management skills and a demonstrable ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Results oriented, upbeat and focused with a strong desire to test, learn and succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Fluent German Speaker preferred
