We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to drive brand awareness and develop new business opportunities and sales leads. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The role is hybrid, based in the London office, and working with an inspiring and innovative team who are set out to change the world.

You will be responsible for engaging with existing and prospective customers to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.


  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets, customer needs, and prospective clients.
  • Create, drive and follow up on potential new business leads
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships through the entire sales cycle.
  • Promote the company’s products, addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, sales, revenue, and potential for new products and services.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople

Requirements and skills

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
  • Experience of a fast-paced high growth business.
  • Proven sales track record, including solid experience of outbound lead generation
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Confident, strong communicator including excellent written and spoken English
  • Market knowledge and interest in the renewable energy sector
  • Strong understanding of negotiation techniques and objection handling
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
