The Team

Our client is a major hardware player in some of the biggest and fastest-growing market segments, delivering smartphones, smart home devices, laptops, watches and accessories through resellers and direct online sales. Chesamel has several consultants embedded with our client’s EMEA team, which functions as the link between the global marketing teams in the US and local marketing teams in multiple countries across EMEA.

The Brand and Retail Training Manager will act as a brand guardian for our client’s retail activations and training programmes in DACH. They will implement all localised training assets under the guidance of the EMEA Training & Advocacy Lead and ensure they are delivered and executed in their market. This is an exciting opportunity which will allow the post-holder to play a crucial role in our client’s DACH expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Executing and collaborating on strategy provided by the EMEA Training & Advocacy Lead.
  • Approving localised Global content, managing all legal reviews and ad-hoc brand reviews where necessary.
  • Rolling out all training assets to store operation teams, lead trainers and field teams, to be scaled in EMEA/globally.
  • Ensure the execution of events and roadshows where required throughout the year, in line with EMEA and Global Playbooks, including coordinating the production of all necessary physical elements for the events and roadshows.
  • Oversee the production of sales kits and the production and distribution of locally relevant, sustainable and high quality swag / printed assets.
  • Taking guidance from store operation teams, work with external parties to create and publish all necessary training content for partners, including but not limited to:
  • Any relevant, localised materials from global
  • Onboarding content
  • Social engagement comms / competition comms / incentive comms
  • Live Streams
  • Newsletters and surveys
  • Manage the general daily management of the Social platform, including responding to comments, driving engagement, and working with the agency to manage the user list.
  • Taking guidance from store operation teams, work with the agency/vendor to execute any necessary ambassador engagements where content work is required.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 6+ years of Marketing experience – preferably in sales and training content creation – sales playbooks, training guides for retailers.
  • German & English Speaking
  • Professional practical experience in retail marketing, preferably in digital, partnerships or brand management
  • A great, positive attitude – be ready to roll up your sleeves and operate in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional leadership skills; team player with very strong interpersonal skills, who is comfortable working on complex projects with many stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven project management skills
  • Proven success negotiating with partners to create experiences
  • Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and constantly evolving context
  • Experience working for powerful, iconic brands (consumer or B2B) that engage consumers through disruptive marketing.
