US Content Marketing Lead

Job Description

The Content Marketing Lead will:

  • Develop the content marketing strategy for our client’s services
  • Evolve our client’s messaging through telling stories through blogs, press, and thought leadership
  • Commission and manage third-party research and thought leadership to support messaging and value proof points
  • Review and update assets and collateral on a quarterly basis, including the messaging house and value proposition, EBC presentations, and one-pagers
  • Write and advise on website copy, blogs, social media content, email copy and more 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and track public customer references; create quotes, stories, videos and blogs in partnership with the internal customer reference team
  • Educate internal teams on the availability and use of collateral, thought leadership, customer reference assets, blogs, and press

Key attributes for the Content Marketing Lead: 

  1. A nose for news - Knows what stories will resonate with our target audiences, and can pull together program details, industry stats, customer quotes, executive voices and more to craft inspiring stories about our client in blogs and press
  2. A content writing wizard - Able to write compelling blogs, press briefings, and other messaging assets to inspire and engage our target audiences, setting the editorial tone and voice
  3. An organizational powerhouse - Can manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders, while prioritizing the needs of the business. Able to navigate the organization, work confidently with executives, and influence

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our client’s portfolio (Professional Services, Training and Certification) and our customers to create compelling messaging and value propositions
  • Create and write a range of external assets and communications positioning our client's services to decision makers, IT leaders, IT practitioners, and developers
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to plan and write pressworthy stories quarterly
  • Develop Thought Leadership in partnership with third-party industry analysts that increases awareness and brand reputation of our client’s services
  • Work with the field team and Customer Reference team to track customer references and bring the value proposition to life through customer quotes, videos, stories, and more
  • Train the broader marketing and sales teams on available resources and assets to ensure they are positioning the value of our client’s services effectively with customers

Requirements

  • Outstanding copywriting skills and use of storytelling
  • Strong sense for good creative and experience creating marketing collateral, including EBC decks and one-pagers
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders to deliver to demanding deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with creative and/or communications agencies, and ability to manage third-party research projects
  • Professional and upbeat demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with executive stakeholders
  • Self starter who can manage and prioritize their own tasks
  • Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience in marketing, journalism, PR, AR, or communications
  • 5+ years marketing experience in enterprise technology or professional services 
  • Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
