Our client is an international leader in security solutions and we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager. You will be working  alongside their project delivery and technology team ensuring the smooth running of a growing and multi-faceted project to support the roll out of a nationwide workforce solution.

They are ideally looking for someone who has previous project management experience within the software space working alongside multiple stakeholders and independent contractors.

Responsibilities

 

  • Agreeing project objectives
  • Representing the client's or organisation's interests
  • Providing advice on the management of projects
  • Making sure that all the aims of the project are met
  • Making sure the quality standards are met
  • Using IT or other systems to keep track of people and progress
  • Reporting to the client or senior stakeholders on progress
  • Evaluating the success of the project against its benchmarking and sharing lessons or best practice with other organisations or project managers
  • Liaising with subcontractors in order to ensure smooth running of the project to specified timescales
  • Preparation of weekly reports to key stakeholders on the project
  • Communicating with key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Ability to get things done with an entrepreneurial mindset for overcoming obstacles
  • Track record of effectively delivering multiple projects at one time in a very fast-moving environment, strong project management experience, campaign planning and execution
  • Proactive self starter - working with limited guidance and a proactive approach
  • Great educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers
  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Qualifications

  • University Degree
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
