Job Description

One of the world’s largest and most influential tech companies is looking for an experience Event Manager to join one of their Field Marketing teams.

This key role will focus primarily on managing the company’s EMEA presence at third party trade shows, managing all aspects of the event planning process from booth design and stakeholder management through to onsite execution, but will also have a supporting role on company-led events. In addition, you will oversee the company’s Speaker Management programme, working with an external speaker management agency. You will ensure that the agency is focusing on securing speaking opportunities at the events that will drive awareness amongst key audiences and markets.

Responsibilities

Third Party Trade Shows:

  • Liaising with third party conference organisers on key deliverables and timelines
  • Working with external event agencies on the design and delivery of onsite activations at third party trade shows e.g. exhibition booth, meeting room, networking receptions and giveaways
  • Coordination of booth demos and staffing schedules
  • Management of 1:1 meetings schedule
  • Key stakeholder engagement including brand team and regional marketing teams
  • Sales enablement including working with the activation team to produce event microsites, invitations and follow up emails
  • Close management of the event budget
  • You will be required to be onsite at each event to manage set-up

Company-Led Events:

  • Provide event management support where required

Speaker Management:

  • Review speaking opportunities sourced by the speaker management agency to ensure they are appropriate and relevant to the company
  • Assist the speaker management agency as/when where required in sourcing relevant speakers
  • Quarterly review with agency to ensure targets are being met
  • Attend bi-weekly calls with the speaker management agency

Other Responsibilities:

  • Could include the production of company social events, maintenance of the events calendar etc.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a related subject
  • Any other relevant and formal qualifications
