About the Role
As a Business Services Manager, you will be a key collaborator with our clients Marketing & Events team on various campaigns and projects. This role involves overseeing and coordinating administrative tasks related to purchasing (such as statements of work and purchase orders). As a Business Services Manager, you will be the primary contact for our clients Marketing team and provide expertise in navigating financial and legal interactions. You will be a subject matter expert in all contracting and purchasing processes, streamlining Marketing & Events workflows, decreasing administrative workload, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Draft and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) and contracts for marketing and event vendors, ensuring accuracy in deliverables and risks.
- Work closely with Procurement and Legal teams to streamline the contract approval process for marketing events.
- Oversee risk assessment and compliance for marketing and event activities on behalf of Marketing Managers.
- Manage the creation, approval, and tracking of purchase requisitions and Purchase Orders (POs) for marketing and event spending.
- Identify and resolve purchasing system issues, collaborating with Finance to meet quarterly spending deadlines.
- Support efficiency improvements in marketing and event contracting and purchasing processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert on legal, compliance, and procurement processes, guiding marketing teams on best practices.
- Enhance Contract Ops’ understanding of event-specific needs, improving contract execution through education and process refinement.
Required qualifications:
- Expertised in project management and a proven track record of independently driving outcomes in complex business environments while collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, showing high attention to detail
- Experience and interest in working with finance, legal, and compliance functions on behalf of the marketing function
- Proven ability to work effectively with multiple cross-functional teams
- Outstanding execution, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills
- Marketing and events experience, including event planning, coordination and execution
